We purchased a handful of shatter proof edison style fairy bulbs to mix with edison led bulbs for our front porch and we love the distinctive look. The fairy bulbs come in different shapes, which would add an unique look. I hope the company considers making the fairy bulbs in holiday colors (red, green, blue) which would look great in December and January.

I used it to replace the oil candle in an eternal flame. The glass was cracked and seemed like it was becoming a major fire hazard.

I own a lighting company and after ordering a smaller number of these to test out I went back and ordered another 500 of these. These replaced my incandescent 7-watt G50 bulbs. They are easily as bright, the dimming is just as smooth (with NO flicker when dimmed fully down as I've found can sometimes happen with dimmable LEDs), and best of all they are shatterproof. They even weight less than my old bulbs which will make my work from the top of a ladder easier and safer. Before these, I would install the old glass bulbs at each event to avoid breakage (which meant they had to be removed and reboxed during strike). Now, they are transported already installed in the string, greatly reducing the labor of installation and removal. Perhaps best of all, they consume a mere 1/7 of the electricity of my old fleet of incandescent bulbs, so my time spent wiring (and dividing up loads based on the power that is available at each event) is also greatly reduced. Before these, I could plug no more than 3 50-foot strings end-to-end (which meant more extension cords, more dimmer boxes, but most importantly more time and energy wasted). Now I can plug over 20 50-foot strings end-to-end, off of a single extension cord with a single dimmer box, all plugged into a single circuit! These are a no-brainer! I'll make my money back on these in a single job.
I bought these globe bulbs to use in C7 (E12) base strings that I wrap an outdoor tree with at Christmas. I wanted the larger G50 size in LED and was having trouble finding any online at a good price. These bulbs fit the bill and look really nice when lit. I use them in a mixed string with various sizes of LED and incandescent bulbs - it's eclectic. The incandescents are being retired as they burn out. These globes have a bit of a sparkle due to the crystal clear plastic globe and the way the LED are mounted inside. The globe is fairly thin, but seems sturdy enough as long as you don't abuse them. These might not be a good choice for permanent year-round outdoor installation. They are a perfect for my use outdoors only one month in winter. They easily withstood a little rough treatment as they were going up in the tree. It's a tall tree and I hang the strings using a telescoping pole so sometimes the bulbs get a bit banged up. One plus is they are very light in weight which makes it a bit easier to handle long strings. These would look fantastic in a party or wedding installation. Overall I like these a lot and am happy I found them here.

I like how fun and different it is. Very bright,,,makes a nice light in the room. I do wish it came in lower watts,,,it could be a great night light or mood light

For the sale price I payed, these are fine. I had a bulb similarly shaped like this with an LED light-string in it that was much more expensive - that one's "bulb" seems to be made from glass and it has a really nice appearance and I have it in an old brass lamp in my living room (that glass one seems a bit larger than these ones as well). These are not quite like that - the "bulb" on these is made from plastic and you can tell if you get close and these are generally less expensively made - but not bad at all for certain purposes like in a light chain on the front porch: and they will not break if a wind gust on opening the door blows them against the window or something along those lines. And they do look nice especially from more than a yard away. But closer than a yard you can tell them apart from their much more expensive incarnations made from glass. So in the living room I prefer the more expensive glass incarnation, but on the porch these make more sense and are just fine and the price was right (in the sale - at 3x their price I wouldn't be sure I would have bought 12 for the whole chain). I have to see about longevity - that often is a problem with less expensively made led bulbs.

Wanted festive look on front porch string of lights on coastal village home. The warm color of the led filament is identical to the incandescent bulbs that had started to burn out. Had to look twice to figure out new from old during replacement! LED means I will not have to do this job again for a long time. Thank You.
The light bulb was fine. It was the correct size for the recommended cord. But the cord was not the correct size for the large star lantern.
These are a great replacement for accent lights that I use at parties.

We purchased strands with these bulbs separately. They screwed in easily and all work well. We had glass bulbs but they broke in high winds. These are as bright as the glass and seem as clear. They seem well made and came individually packaged and wrapped.
I am happy with the light bulbs I bought but I think the paper lantern store could be up on there service a bit better. I was told the lights I wanted were out of stock and to give my email so when they were available they would let me know. I kept checking the website as to when they were in stock and ordered them. received them and the then a few weeks later got the email saying good news your stuff is available.
These bulbs are so cute and vintage! And they are dimmable! Looks great for any vintage event.
Lights came in but they blew 2 in the first week up.
I really like this bulb. The style might not be what my partners are interested in getting for our bulb light strand... but I may find a purpose for this light somewhere in our venue.

I purchased these to use in matching fixtures above my fireplace. Unfortunately I bought a whole box because when I put them in the two lights were different colors. If you are going to use them in something that doesn't require it to match another fixture you should be good but otherwise I'd pass on these.

the customer service at paper lanterns is top notch. 2 of the bulbs arrived and didnt work,I emailed the company and they responded immediately.i shop mostly online and other companies can take days to respond. paper lanterns sent 2 replacements and they arrived a few days later. i have ordered from them a lot over the last couple of years and have always been pleased with everything I have ordered.
We recently purchased these for our church's stage design and are SO pleased with the results. They look beautiful, don't get very hot, and have proven themselves to be shatterproof!
