Unhung Paper Lanterns as Decorations

As you start to design the decor of your wedding or event, don’t overlook the many interesting uses for
paper lanterns. There are so many sizes, colors and interesting shapes to choose from and with the use of
battery powered LED lights you can put them anywhere.
Consider using them as your table centerpieces. Pick several in different colors and shapes in the
smaller sizes and cluster them in the center of a round or square table for a bright colorful look.
If you are doing a long feasting table line the center with a variety of paper lanterns,
tuck in some battery operated tealight candles and then run a string of lanterns over the table to define the space.
To really make the look pop, scatter a few of our star shaped paper lanterns into the mix.
As an aisle marker you can hang them from shepard hooks at the end of your aisle, or off the back of
chairs just the same way your would use a floral pomander. It is easy to do yourself and much more budget
friendly. You can hang them by attaching a pretty piece of ribbon to the wire hook that each lantern has
and then tying that to the shepard hook or chair.
You can use the larger paper lanterns at ground level to mark your aisle, add detail, or camouflage an
unsightly detail in your wedding or venue space. Place the paper lanterns as you would like them in clusters
and weigh them down with beanbags or something else with mass.
Again, these can be lighted with the battery operated LED lights.
Anywhere you can think of that you want a pop of color and light, paper lanterns are your answer!
