  1. What is your backorder policy for out of stock items?
  2. Luna Bazaar does not currently ship backorders independent of the original order placed. In the event that an item you have ordered is out of stock we will contact you via email and telephone to inform you of the circumstances (i.e. which item is out of stock and estimated time of arrival) and establish if you would like to make a substitution, wait for the item to arrive or cancel your order. Please provide valid contact information when placing your order so that we may expediently process the order under these circumstances. If we do not receive a response within 2 business days we will remove the backordered item and ship the remainder of your order. A new order confirmation email will be sent prior to the adjusted order being shipped.

  3. Can Bulk Discounts apply to assortments (colors, sizes) of a product?
  4. Our Bulk Discounts apply to quantity purchases of a specific product, which at Luna Bazaar means a product with a specific size and color. So, for example, to receive the 24+ discount on our White 14 Inch No Frills Paper Lanterns, you need to buy 24 or more of that specific lantern. Applying our bulk discounts only to quantities of specific products (and not to assortments) enables us operate with a very efficient packing system, and so allows us to pass on significant discounts to you.

  5. Do you ship outside the continental US?
  6. We do ship to Canada, PR, Hawaii and Alaska. Other than that, we do not ship to any other countries. Please note that any free shipping coupon does not apply on orders to Canada, PR, Hawaii or Alaska. [back to top]
     
  7. Does shipping cost more when it's outside the continental US?
  8. Yes, in order to get correct shipping totals we actually box up your order and call UPS with the dimensions, weight, and zip code of where it's going to get your shipping rate. We will then call you with the total shipping cost for your confirmation before the items are sent.

  9. Do you do express shipping and how much does it cost?
  10. As with shipping outside of the continental US, we box up express orders and call UPS with the dimensions, weight, zip code and the day that you want it to arrive. We will then call you with the total shipping cost for your confirmation before the items are sent. We do have an express shipping cancelation policy which we recommend reading before placing your order. [back to top]
     
  11. What is your express shipping cancellation policy?
  12. When we receive an express order we pull the items from our storage area, pack them up, and then call UPS with the dimensions/weight/zip code of the parcel. Once we know the express shipping cost we will call you with the total for your confirmation. If at that time you decide to cancel the order completely, we need to charge a cancellation service fee based on your order total. If the order was $249.00 or less we need to charge a $25.00 fee. If it is $250.00 or more we need to charge a $50.00 fee for cancellation. If you decide to change the shipping back to regular UPS Ground, there is no service fee. [back to top]
     
  13. What is Rush Processing?
  14. Rush Processing is an option that can be added for an additional $10 fee. If chosen in your checkout screen, this option will push your order to the front of the line and leave our warehouse within 1 to 2 business days. This is NOT Express Shipping[back to top]
     
  15. Where are you shipping from? Do you have a store there?
  16. Our warehouse is located in Brattleboro, Vermont. We are just a warehouse and offices. We do not have a bricks-and-mortar store front. [back to top]
     
  17. If I order today how long will it take me to get my shipment?
  18. Shipping generally takes 3-7 days once UPS picks it up from our warehouse. Depending on where you're located, it takes UPS a different number of business days to reach you. Here is a good estimate of UPS Ground shipping times from our warehouse in Vermont to different states:

    1 day - VT, NH, MA, CT, RI, and parts of Western ME and Eastern NY.

    2 days - PA, NJ, DE, MD, WV, VA, OH, Western NY, and Northern ME.

    3 days - IL, MI, IN, KY, TN, NC, SC, GA, AL, WI, IA, parts of MO, and MN.

    4 days - FL, ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, AR, MS, LA, Eastern CO and possibly the Eastern side of TX.

    5 days - WA, NV, MT, WY, CO, UT, AZ, NM, TX, PR.

    5 to possibly 6 days - OR, ID, CA, AK, and HI.

  19. Does placing an order over the phone get it shipped faster?
  20. The only way to get your items shipped any faster is to change your shipping option to express. If you should place an order over the phone it will be incorporated into that day's orders according to when it was received. [back to top]
     
  21. If I place my order on the phone will I be emailed any confirmation or tracking numbers?
  22. If we are provided with an email address you will receive an email confirmation with a copy of your invoice and the tracking number in an attachment once your order is shipped. No email confirmation is sent when you place your order. You will be given an order number as a confirmation at that time. [back to top]
     
  23. When it says you get a discount for 24 or more items, can you mix and match colors and sizes?
  24. No, unfortunately we do not offer any discounts for mixed/matched items. You will have to buy the same style and color to get the discount on that item. [back to top]
     
  25. How do I hang paper lanterns?
  26. There is a metal hook at the top of our paper lanterns to use for hanging. If you want to hang paper lanterns in a row without lights you can use your choice of strong string or fishing line. Fishing line is virtually invisible and works well for hanging paper lanterns. If you want to add lights to your lanterns, we do have light strands that you can clip the lanterns onto. There is also the popular option of using our battery operated LED lights: they have an elastic band at one end that can attach to the hook at the top of the lantern. Once attached to the lantern, the LED's elastic band allows the light to dangle in the middle. Then hang the lantern with fishing line, string, etc. [back to top]
     
  27. How are paper lanterns measured?
  28. Paper lanterns are typically measured at their diameter. Specifically, it's the length of a horizontal line that passes through the center of the lantern. For example, when a paper lantern is compressed down to its flat state, the diameter of the lantern would be measured from one side, through the center, to the other. Our paper lanterns come in even number sizes from 4 to 42 inches. [back to top]
     
  29. Do the lanterns come flat?
  30. Yes, the lanterns are packaged flat. In their packaging are instructions on how to open them and insert the metal frame. It's easy. [back to top]
     
  31. Are the colors close to what they are on my computer screen?
  32. The products that we ship are as close to the colors online as they can be. Our products are often hand dyed and there may be artistic differences from item to item because of this. Also, different computer screens can render colors a bit differently. [back to top]
     
  33. Do the lantern string light packs come with lights?

  35. What is SAA paper?
  36. SAA paper is a tradional high-quality paper made from Mulberry tree bark. It is water resistant. If the item made out of this paper should get wet it is recommended it be left open so it can dry. [back to top]
     
  37. What is an LED light?
  38. LED stands for "Light Emitting Diode" and is a relatively new technology that generates light more efficiently than normal incandescent or even fluorescent bulbs. Because of this, LED lights can last significantly longer running on a battery than regular lights can. Our LED lights generate 3-15 lumens, depending on the specific product. One lumen is about the intensity of a normal candle flame, and can effectively illuminate about one square foot of space. [back to top]
     
  39. How long do your LED lights last?
  40. Our LEDs will last about 12 hours on their batteries. The batteries can then be replaced. [back to top]
     
  41. Do the tea lights work with all the lanterns?
  42. No, but they do work well with our votive and tealight candle holders! [back to top]
     
  43. When an item says it's not coming in until a certain date is that a good date to go by?
  44. The date given is pending on customs and may be a few days before or a few days after the date given. If any big changes happen we will post it with the item. [back to top]
     
  45. How can I figure out the number of paper lanterns needed for a large tent or room?
  46. The best way to do this is to get some graph paper and imagine that every little square represents one foot of your tent or room. Draw your entire space and the major features it will contain, like your tables, the dance floor, food tables etc. Next, draw little circles where you want to hang your lanterns. Then you can count the circles for a lantern total. [back to top]
     
  47. Do you offer discount codes?
  48. No, we do not offer any discount codes. When ordering certain items you will see the option to receive a discount if you order that item in bulk quantities. [back to top]
     
  49. Do you personalize items?
  50. No, unfortunately we do not personalize items. We would recommend finding someone who does calligraphy, or possibly a printing company in your area. [back to top]
