Black and Blue Ikat Clutch

8.5 inches x 4 inches high, 4.5 inches wrist strap. Zipper closure. Ikat... so sought after, so hard to find, and typically soooo expensive thats because this nearly-lost textile art requires great skill, is very time consuming, and is only still practiced in exceptionally far-flung locales. Were lucky to have stumbled upon a village still practicing this ancient art of warp and weft weaving. The distinct patterns that define ikat textiles are achieved through resist dyeing the threads before weaving them. The result is a fabric with great depth, bold graphics, and surprisingly modern appeal; truly unlike any other textile. Our clutches are big enough to hold all the basics and small enough for a night out on the town. What a great gift!
